As part of the end of year activities for Student Council Members (MPPs) and Peer Guiders (PGs) 2 day/1 night leadership camp, the students took part in the kayaking activity at Serasa Beach on 1 December 2012.

On 7 November 2012, the first PTET Mini Symposium was held at PTET lecture theatre with invited guests, including Guest of Honour Mr Cheong Huat Joo, Principals and teacherss from various 6th Form Centres and secondary schools.
Paper presenters consist of tutors from PTET and M.Teach students who are having their teaching placement at PTET.

Bridging to the Future Sharing Session 2012 (1.9.2012)
On 1 September 2012, former students of PTET (formerly 6th Form at SM Sayyidina 'Othman) attended the annually held "Bridging to The Future" sharing session where the former students shared their academic experiences with the current 6th Formers.
The session started with the speeches by the principal, Cg Hadion Lim Beng Guan and the student representatives, followed by the presentation of certificates to the eight scholarship 2012/13 recipients.
