Trustworthy emerges overall champion of 2017 PTET Athletics and Tracks Competition (27.11.2017)

In the penultimate event of the Sports Day, the guest of honour, Awang Ajamain bin Hj Othman, the Head of the Tutong District Co-Curriculum, Curriculum Education Department, Ministry of Education was present to formally launch the start of the day and subsequently mingled with the head of houses.

In the highly anticipated final tug-of-war, Perseverance beat Trustworthy in two rounds. In the special category of the tug-of-war between college staff and Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), the latter won comfortably.

In terms of overall medal tally, Trustworthy is the champion of the year 2017, with Team Synergy, Excellence and Perseverance trailing not far behind.

PTET teams in valiant display despite loss in OGDC Science Show Final (26.11.2017)

PTET students proudly represented the college in the final round of the OGDC science communications fair after making it through the preliminary selection round few months ago.


The students in the final were,
1) Muhammad Syahmi bin Hj Kamaluddin (L6-3)
2) Muhammad Afif Ruzaini bin Muhammad Sofian (L6-1)
3) Fatin Aimuni binti Hj Suffian (L6-3)
4) Nurul Afiyah Huang binti Mohammed Faiz Nabil (L6-3)






They were supported by science department tutors:
1) Cg Teo Kui Sheng
2) Cg Siti Rohaini

The teams fought valiantly, but other teams were deemed better by the panel of judges. The college congratulates the boys and girls participating, for their best effort and countless hours spent perfecting their prepared speeches.

All participating teams were presented certificates before the competition closed. Very well done.

Lower Sixth Very Important Parent (VIP) day at PTET (25.11.2017)

Parents and caregivers of Year 12 Lower Sixth students were present to receive the end-of-year report cards, detailing marks and comments on the students' performance thus far. The parents and caregivers also had the opportunity to discuss with the respective subject tutors.

PTET buzzes with excitement for Inter-House Annual Sports Competition

On Thursday, 16th November 2017, students participated in the first leg of the Athletics and Field events of the annual inter sport-houses competition.

The four sport houses were modelled on the college's core values - Perseverance, Trustworthy, Excellence and Team Synergy.

The remaining Athletics and Field events will take place this Thursday, 23rd November 2017, with the penultimate day the following Tuesday.

PTET distributes His Majesty's Golden Jubilee commemorative coins to staff and students (20.11.2017)

In a general Syaksiah assembly this morning, the Principal handed commemorative coins to staff and students to mark the Golden Jubilee of His Majesty's Ascension to the throne.





Student representatives of each registration class collected from the Principal.

PTET bid farewell to two teaching staff (9.11.2017)

The teaching and non-teaching staff of PTET gathered yesterday to congratulate and bid farewell to two beloved members of teaching staff, Cg Dr Vincent Andrew and Cg Edna Maria binti Haji Osman.



Cg Dr Vincent Andrew is being promoted to become the Principal of Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Othman, and Cg Edna Maria binti Haji Osman is being promoted to become the Deputy Principal of Sekolah Menengah Sufri Bolkiah. Both appointments are effective as of Monday, 13th November 2017.

     

While the college is sad to lose two highly esteemed colleagues for their knowledge and experience, the college nevertheless wishes them hearty congratulations and good fortunes in their new, challenging roles as school leaders.

PTET girl guides led the way at the Eco-Corridor opening (22.10.2017)

A few students who are Girl Guides were present to witness the official opening of the Eco-Corridor and greet His Majesty.

The girls were supervised by Cg Nurul Hadina binti Hj Alias. The girls braved the early morning heat and later on the rain also. The students were,

Inspirational Lower Sixth Public Speaking competition sources of aspiration (17.10.2017)

Eight Lower Sixth students gave rousing speeches themed Aspiration to a panel of judges.

PTET tutors attend the penultimate Teacher Forum 2017 (13.10.2017)

In the penultimate Teacher Forum 2017, organised by the Teacher Development Programme (TDP) of the college, Cg Raihan Nokman narrated her findings from one of her classroom activities in teaching biology using running dictations, while Cg Dr Vincent Andrew discussed on reflecting on teaching practices that work in the classroom, but which are the most effective, for him.
