Happy New Year 2018!
In the spirit of the new academic year, here is a quote by John F. Kennedy that reflects upon how each and everyone of us has a role to play in school.
“Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which fulfilled can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation. One person can make a difference and everyone should try.”

The camp, titled Qa’id Assyumul (QS Camp 2017), an Arabic expression which loosely translates to Holistic Student Leader, has been a regular and annual fixture of the institution’s end-of-year activities. The camp this year, themed Golden Theme began on the 28th November and concluded on the 1st December.
Cg Azrin bin Hj Bolhassan, who heads the Student Leadership Development Unit (SLDU) of the college said, “we believe our student leaders can become vital assets and pillars of the nation’s growth in the future, hence we wish to expose them to all these informative courses and exemplary characteristics in line with the Sultanate’s Vision 2035”.
Parents accompanied the students during the official opening and launching of the camp yesterday, by the Principal, Cg Hjh Murni bte Abdullah. Cg Raihan binti Hj Nokman, the head of Students’ Council and Cg Norhaslinda binti Hj Adnan, the college’s Counsellor were also present.
To improve interpersonal communication, the Brunei Amateur Drama Society (BADS) will conduct a workshop with the attendees. The National Service (PKBN) would also deliver a motivational talk regarding student leadership, sharing of experience as guidance to become a quality leader.
Another highlight would be the visit to a local primary school as well as a MasterChef cooking competition. The former intends to expose the student leaders towards the importance of volunteering and outreach while the latter aims to cultivate the spirit of togetherness and team spirit.
