PTE Tutong Citizens Joined Flag Waving in Tutong District in Conjunction with His Majesty's 80th Birthday Celebration 2026

Lower Six students and teachers from Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong participated in the Get-Together Ceremony held in conjunction with the 80th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in the Tutong district on 22 July 2026.
The event brought together members of the community, government agencies, educational institutions, and various organisations to celebrate the joyous occasion while fostering unity, patriotism, and community spirit.

Professional Learning Community (PLC) Meeting for L6 Progress Test Analysis 2026

The Heads of Department and Assistant Heads of Department convened for a Professional Learning Community (PLC) meeting to analyse the Lower Six Progress Test results in TS1 from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.
The session was facilitated by the Deputy Principal of Academic and focused on reviewing students' academic performance, identifying areas for improvement, and discussing targeted intervention strategies to enhance learning outcomes. Also in attendance were the Principal, Deputy Principal (Administration), the School Counsellor, and the Senior Mistresses.
A Workshop on How to Write A Reflection Under the PrivGL 2.0 Program 2026

A Reflective Writing Workshop was conducted from 2.30 p.m. to 3.45 p.m. in the SMART Classroom for 22 Lower Six students (Batch 2026/2027) participating in the Privilege Guided Learning (PrivGL) 2.0 Programme. The workshop was facilitated by PrivGL Coordinator Cg Noralenie Nordin, a Bahasa Melayu tutor, with support from fellow PrivGL coordinators Cg Nuraireen Hj Tuneh, a Science tutor, and Cg Wan Siti Zatil Hamizah Binti Haji Mohd Abdur Rafae'a, an Economics tutor.
The workshop aimed to strengthen students' reflective writing skills by introducing effective techniques for producing clear, meaningful, and well-structured reflections. Students were guided to critically evaluate their learning experiences, recognise their strengths and areas for improvement, and formulate practical strategies to enhance their academic performance. The session also encouraged students to develop greater self-awareness, foster a growth mindset, and embrace reflective practice as an essential component of lifelong learning and continuous personal development.
STEAM for The Future - Chopstick Robotics Workshop

18 Lower Six students from Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong (Batch 2026/2027) participated in the STEAM for the Future programme, featuring the Chopstick Robotics workshop facilitated by the STEP Centre. The workshop was held from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at ICT Lab 1.
The hands-on session introduced students to the fundamentals of robotics through the design and construction of simple robotic models using chopsticks and other readily available materials. By engaging in practical activities, students developed their creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and basic engineering skills while gaining a deeper appreciation of STEAM-based learning.
The students were accompanied by their supervising teachers, Cg Norhayati Hj Momin and Cg Lim Ming Han.
Briefing for Students in STEAM Reel Challenge 2026

A briefing on the Students in STEAM Reel Challenge was conducted for 22 lower six students from the PTET Video Group (Batch 2026/2027). The session was delivered by the Senior Mistress of Academic and aimed to provide participants with a clear overview of the challenge, including its objectives, requirements, guidelines, and submission process. The briefing also served to prepare and motivate students to produce creative and impactful STEAM-themed reels that showcase innovation and sustainability.

Pesta Buku Brunei
18 JULY 2026. EDUCATIONAL TRIP.
A total of 30 Lower Six students (9 boys and 21 girls) departed Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong (PTET) by bus at 12.30 p.m. today for an educational visit to Pesta Buku Brunei.
The students were accompanied by their supervising teachers, Cg Ida Massuri Binti Mail and Cg Pg Abdul Azim bin Pg Hj Abas. The visit was organised to promote a culture of reading, broaden students' exposure to educational resources, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for books and learning. As part of the visit, each student received a book voucher to redeem at the Best Eastern booth.
The group is expected to return to the school before 4.30 p.m. today.
Incentive Prize Presentation for U6 PrivGL Students Who Qualified for Exit from PrivGL 2.0.

Today, four Upper Six students under the Privilege Guided Learning Programme 2.0 (PrivGL 2.0) received incentives during the morning assembly in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement.
The students excelled in the recent Pre-AS Examination, each attaining three A levels, an accomplishment that qualified them to successfully exit the PrivGL 2.0 programme. Their achievement reflects their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence.

Briefing about PrivGL 2.0 for Lower Six PrivGL Subject Tutors

A briefing on the Privilege Guided Learning Programme 2.0 (PrivGL 2.0) was held today in TS1 for Lower Six tutors involved in the programme. The session was conducted by the Senior Mistress of Academic, Cg Siti Rohaini Md Saleh, to introduce the updated PrivGL 2.0 framework, explain its implementation procedures, and outline the roles and responsibilities of tutors in providing structured academic support and guidance to participating students. The briefing also ensured that all tutors shared a clear understanding of the programme's objectives, expectations, and operational processes prior to its implementation.
Also in attendance was the Deputy Principal of Academic, Cg Rozieana Hj Zini, who further elaborated on the re-entry mechanism for students who demonstrate academic regression after exiting the programme. The Assistant Senior Mistress of Academic who is also the program leader for PrivGL 2.0, Cg Nuraireen Hj Tuneh, was also present to support the briefing.

More Than Just Sounds: Animal Language

The second talk in the Youth Science Forum (YSF) 2026/2027 series, titled "More Than Just Sounds: Animal Language", was successfully held at the Lecture Theatre Perseverance, Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong.
The session was presented by Nurezzah Ellina Ezzahraa binti Ali Noordin (L6-2) and Farisha Farhanah binti Hj Mas Zuraime (L6-1) from the YSF Talk Unit. The speakers introduced the audience to the fascinating ways animals communicate through sounds, body language, and chemical signals to survive and interact with one another.
The talk attracted a full house, reflecting the students' enthusiasm for science and learning. The organisers thank everyone who attended and look forward to welcoming more participants to future YSF talk

The Mind Matters Program by BMSA

The Mind Matters Programme, organised by the Brunei Medical Student Association (BMSA), was held at Lecture Theatre Trustworthy (LTT). The programme featured an educational talk on mental health delivered by Dr Isyrah, alongside interactive educational booths, engaging games, and a gratitude wall designed to encourage students to reflect on positive experiences and promote emotional well-being.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness of mental health, foster open conversations, and equip students with knowledge and practical strategies to support their overall well-being.
PrivGL 2.0 Briefing for Parents of Lower Six Students and Parents Teacher Meet-Up (PTM) 2026

Today, from 1.30 p.m. to 2.00 p.m., the administration of Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong (PTE Tutong) conducted a briefing session for the parents and guardians of students enrolled in the Privilege Guided Learning Programme 2.0 (PrivGL 2.0) following the lower six progress test 2026.
The session aimed to provide an overview of the PrivGL 2.0 framework, explain the programme's objectives, implementation procedures, and intervention strategies, as well as highlight the important role of parents and guardians in supporting their children's academic progress. .
Following the briefing, a Parent–Teacher Meet-up (PTM) was held in the school canteen from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. for the parents and guardians of Lower Six students. During the session, tutors met individually with parents to discuss students' Progress Test results, review their academic performance, identify areas for improvement, and explore strategies to support their learning and future progress.
