Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong welcomed a delegation of 12 students and two male supervising teachers from Tokiwa University High School, Japan, for a school visit from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The visit aimed to promote cultural exchange, strengthen international friendships and provide students with opportunities to learn from one another.
The programme began with a traditional Silat performance at the entrance foyer, followed by welcoming remarks from the Principal in the Lecture Theatre. Students from both schools then participated in sharing sessions and ice-breaking activities, fostering interaction and building connections. The visiting students also experienced classroom immersions in Bahasa Melayu, led by Cg Suzilindawati Hj Zaidin and Cg Noralenie Nordin, and Arts and Design, led by Cg Hjh Siti Munirah Hj Isa.
Following a brunch session, PTE Tutong students presented cultural performances and traditional games to introduce Brunei’s cultural heritage and encourage further interaction. The visit concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation by the Principal of PTE Tutong to the representative of Tokiwa University High School. Overall, the visit provided a meaningful platform for cultural understanding, shared learning and lasting friendships between students from Brunei Darussalam and Japan.
